Valletta Officials and Players visit Dar Tal-Providenza
Sunday 29th August dawned with the prospect of an exciting and interesting morning for Brian Micallef, resident at the Dar tal-Providenza in Siggiewi.
Brian had expressed his feelings to Elaine Camilleri, a Valletta FC forum member and supporter that he wished to see his beloved Valletta squad in action during a match, however due to a misunderstanding, watching the long awaited Super Cup match against Birkirkara was not possible.

Team Manager, Jesmond Zammit however had other plans. He informed Elaine that since Brian could not make it to the match, Valletta Officials and Players would pay him a visit at DTP. Fr Martin Micallef, Director at DTP was very kind and accommodating and the ball was set rolling for Brian’s dream morning to come true.
A whole delegation consisting of: Jesmond Zammit, Jason Galea Lucas, Clint Mizzi, Joe Agius , Omar Agius, Dino Demicoli, Andrew Grima, Gilbert Agius, Kurt 'Maxi Magro' , Niky Vella walked through the DTP reception door, Jason Proudly Holding the ‘’FA Trophy in hand’’.
Brian’s face lit up – he had been asking for Gilbert for quite a while – recalling that he had watched him play along with Laferla too!
Brian was presented with a signed No 7 Valletta Gear and the latest designed Valletta shawl. His delight was radiant for all to see. The small group gathered around Brian for pictures, chatted with Fr Martin and some of the residents and left Dar Tal-Providenza, but to Brian’s surprise and delight, Captain Agius and Maxi stayed on for Mass at the DTP Chapel.
