Players of the Valletta F.C.

In the history of the Valletta F.C. there were many players who left their mark. There are players who played a great number of matches for the National team, others have won the honour of the Footballer of the Year of the M.F.A. and there are other players who in many times finished as the best scorers of the maltese championships. Obviously, as regards the honours in the National Team, one must mention Kris Laferla and Nicky Saliba both Valletta players who played most for the National team. When we then speak of the Footballer of the Year, there are eight players who have won this honour, and enough to say that Joe Cilia and Nicky Saliba won this honour twice, these are the only two players who have won this honour. The other players winning this honour are: Joe Zammit, Alfred Debono, Edwin Schembri, Eddie Vella, Nardu Farrugia, and Gilbert Agius.
